Award-winning dentist Dr. Gabriele Tschoepe was born and raised in Germany as the daughter of a prominent cosmetic surgeon. After studying English Literature and History of Art, she decided to pursue a career in dentistry.

Gabi qualified from the University of Wales Medical School in 1985 with a distinction in medicine and surgery. She has practised full time dentistry for nearly four decades, and opened Mouth Matters as her own private practice in the centre of Chester in 2002.

Gabi is an experienced clinician with a special interest in cosmetic dentistry and facial aesthetics. She loves helping her patients feel more confident and achieve their dream results, be it through dental treatment or facial aesthetics. She is passionate about giving the highest level of treatment and care in both simple and complex cosmetic cases.

Gabi is committed to practising patient-centred ethical dentistry, achieving long-term results with exceptional care. She is dedicated to continually expanding her dental and facial knowledge and skills. She always stays abreast of current literature on the subject and attends regular courses and conferences worldwide.

Dr Salman Malik

Salman achieved his BDS with honours in 2007, and went on to complete a Master’s degree in Implantology in 2013. He joined the team at Mouth Matters in 2021, bringing his experience, expertise, and friendly approach.

Salman enjoys taking on challenging cases, especially those where patients have been told that nothing can be done. Using his skills and expertise, he loves rehabilitating function and aesthetics, giving his patients the healthy, beautiful, and natural-looking smiles they deserve.

Outside of work, Salman enjoys Formula One and travelling, and is interested in geopolitics.

Dr Bilal Hussain

Bilal qualified with a DDS from the University of the West Indies in 2009. He completed his GDC Overseas Registration Examination in 2012 and the MFDS RCS Edinburgh in 2013. Bilal went on to achieve a Master’s degree in Endodontics from the University of Chester in 2016, and also holds a postgraduate certificate in Medical Education from the College of Physicians, Glasgow.

Bilal joined the team at Mouth Matters in 2017. He enjoys meeting and getting to know his patients, helping them achieve beautiful healthy smiles they can be proud of. He also loves seeing how satisfied and happy his patients are at the end of their treatment!

Outside of work, Bilal enjoys travelling and spending time with his daughters.

Disha achieved her BDS from Agra University in India, then completed her Royal College fellowship in London. She went on to complete her Master’s degree in Restorative Dentistry at the University of Manchester. Disha is also a qualified Invisalign provider.

Disha has been at Mouth Matters since 2023. She likes improving her patients’ overall oral health and helping them achieve the smiles they deserve. Disha has a gentle and caring approach, and enjoys helping nervous patients feel more confident with dental treatment.

Outside of work, Disha enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children. She is a keen runner and loves doing parkruns. Disha is a good cook and likes to spend weekends cooking for her family.

Caitlin graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Oral Health Sciences from the University of Edinburgh in 2021. She went on to complete Dental Therapy Foundation Training North West, and was awarded Foundation Dental Therapist of the Year in 2022.

Caitlin joined the team at Mouth Matters in 2022. She feels proud to be part of such a friendly and knowledgeable team and enjoys helping patients achieve their oral health and cosmetic goals. Caitlin loves seeing happy faces at the end of treatment and relishes being able to make a difference to people’s lives.

When she is not at work, Caitlin enjoys hiking in the Peak District and Snowdonia on sunny days, and knitting on rainy days. She is currently in the process of kitting her whole family out with hand knitted jumpers!

Kate trained to be a dental hygienist while serving in the British Army, and achieved her Diploma in Dental Hygiene in 2006 at the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. She went on to complete a BSc (Hons) in Dental Studies for Dental Care Professionals at the University of Central Lancashire in 2020.

Kate joined the practice in September 2016. She enjoys getting to know her patients and helping to educate them on the best way to look after their oral health.

Outside of work, Kate has two children who take up most of her free time! She likes to travel and often finds good places to visit from talking to her patients about their holiday plans. Kate enjoys spending time with her family and friends, walking her dog, and visiting new places.

Emma qualified as a dental nurse in 2019, having completed her Level 3 diploma in dental nursing. She went on to achieve her lead dental nurse qualification, and is also qualified in impression taking, prevention in infection control, and is the decontamination lead. Emma joined Mouth Matters in 2020.

Emma loves meeting new people and getting to know so many of the lovely patients at Mouth Matters. She enjoys her varied role, as every day is different and she learns something new every day! Emma is proud to work in such a beautiful practice with a wonderful team.

When she is not at work, Emma spends a lot of time with her family. She also loves to cook, enjoys listening to music, and relaxing with art and craft projects.

Lorraine Goodridge

Lorraine trained as a dental nurse during her 12 years of service in the RAF, qualifying in 1987. She also holds qualifications in conscious sedation, implant nursing, oral health education and fluoride application, and completed a Management Diploma.

Lorraine joined Mouth Matters in 2019. She loves helping all the patients through their journeys to achieve their dental goals, and seeing their beautiful healthy smiles at the end of treatment. She also enjoys working as part of such a great team.

Outside of work, Lorraine enjoys dog walking, caravanning, and crochet.

Receptionist

Tracey has been working as a dental receptionist since 1986. She joined the team at Mouth Matters in 2023 and loves being part of such a fantastic team.

Tracey loves meeting new people and greeting familiar faces as they arrive for their appointments. She enjoys being part of the journey as patients progress through their dental treatment, and loves seeing happy faces and the change in their confidence as they achieve the smile they have wanted for years.

When she is not at work, Tracey enjoys reading, listening to music, crocheting, and spending time with her family and friends.
